Holme II

Blog, Events, New Work

Drypoint etching in black and white by Richard Foster showing a small rocky island.

The second of my series of prints explore the holes or islands of Lakeland has just come off the press. Holme II represents a small holme in Coniston Water. When I was sketching the island it was repeatedly visited by a carrion crow and this makes and appearance in the print.

This print will be exhibited for the first time at the Lake Artists Society exhibition, which opens on the 2nd August. at the Village Hall in Grasmere.
